7mesh Launches New Spring 2020 Collection with Reimagined Apparel to Improve Every Ride

7mesh (Canada) - Line highlights include a new chamois program, radical new pocket design, and a host of new styles.

Five years after introducing its debut collection, 7mesh Cycling Apparel is launching its most complete—and completely reimagined—line for Spring 2020. The highlights include an expanded shorts and chamois program, the Anything System which reinvents carrying supplies on jerseys and shorts, and an innovative new approach to reflectivity.

Shorts are the single most important element of on-bike comfort and the right shorts can be the difference between an unforgettable ride and one you would rather forget. This year 7mesh has tripled the number of next-to-skin short options by adding the new elite performance RK1 Bib Short, introducing new Anything cargo pocket options to its proven benchmark MK and WK shorts, and creating the ultimate performance liner shorts in the re-vamped Foundation series.

In building the pinnacle RK1 short, 7mesh worked with industry-leading supplier CyTech to develop a proprietary new Elastic Interface chamois which offers signature 7mesh Clean Finish construction without a secondary mesh chamois carrier. The resulting one-piece Force platform chamois delivers plush comfort with increased airflow and ventilation, wrapped in a tailored, high-elastane, featherweight body finished with coldblack® SPF 50 protection.

Women’s WK3 and men’s MK3 Bib Shorts are now available with back and leg cargo Anything pockets in addition to the classic pocket-free design. The pockets have been carefully integrated into the design to offer extra stowage for long rides or days when a tech tee is chosen over a traditional jersey.

The Foundation undershort program has been redesigned from the saddle up with an incredibly airy mesh body and a new Force chamois with extensive cutouts for maximum airflow and ventilation while wearing overshorts or riding pants. Men’s and women’s Foundation Bib shorts also include cargo pockets for extra storage on long-range missions.

The 7mesh jersey program has been similarly reimagined from top down with new fabrics and new profiles. The new superlight Skyline Jersey and do-everything Horizon Jersey are available for both men and women and every short sleeve pocketed jersey has been constructed with the revolutionary Anything Panel. This distinctly untraditional approach to traditional pocket execution is constructed from a stretch woven fabric and floats freely from the jersey allowing for maximum pocket capacity without compromising shape or fit when loaded.

The new Anything Panel also gave the designers at 7mesh the opportunity to not only add visual interest to the jerseys but to rethink reflectivity and visibility. The panel is sublimated with a gradient graphic which is unique to the colour and model and then it is printed with a full light-activated reflective treatment which reboots conventional ideas of visibility.

The Slab Short has been engineered with high-output enduro and XC rides in mind. Full stretch woven construction and tailored shape are perfect for heavy pedalling. Ultrasonic stretch seams, integrated stretch waistband, and seamless gusset make for smooth comfort on every ride. The new 3/4 sleeved Optic Jersey and short sleeved Sight Shirt are the perfect complement for high-paced training rides and bombing enduro runs.

The Spring 2020 7mesh Cycling Apparel collection will be introduced at ISPO Outdoor from June 30th to July 3rd.
