Vitus Bikes (United Kingdom) - Press Release: Vitus are super excited to be launching two brand new Road & Adventure/Gravel bikes to market this year, both evolutions of previous models in our award-winning range.

Up first is the Zenium Carbon which is a revision from our aluminium Zenium, a staple in the Vitus range for years. We wanted to re-evaluate our ‘all-rounder’ carbon road bike proposition for 2019, with some modern features, and try and bring the bike to a lower price point and new audience. We’ve gone for a T700 UD carbon frameset, with ‘all-round’ geometry (not too racy and not too relaxed), to make the bike handle solidly in varying scenarios, whether the rider is commuting, criterium racing, club riding, or taking on a sportive of choice. The Vitus Zenium CR uses the reliable Shimano Tiagra groupset, TRP Spyre disc brakes, Vitus finishing kit and rolls on Shimano wheels paired with Vittoria Zaffiro 28c tyres. With tyre clearance up to 30mm wide tyres the Zenium offers great all-round performance. UK RRP: £999.99.

The Vitus Zenium CR & CRW use the popular Shimano 105 R7000 hydraulic disc brake groupset with short reach shifters, Vitus finishing kit and rolls on Shimano wheels paired with Vittoria Zaffiro 28c tyres. The CRW model features carbon/plumb colourway and has shorter reach levers & female specific saddle. UK RRP on the CR & CRW: £1399.99.

Next up we have the new 2019 Substance range, our 2018 steel Substance was our entry into the adventure/gravel category and was a huge success winning groups tests. We wanted to expand on the success of this bike and cater for our customer base that were more focused on performance and the natural step was a Carbon Substance – Reduce the weight, increase its responsiveness and stiffen everything up. We’ve retained the design characteristics, with a sloping TT, dropped drive side Chain Stay for bigger tyre clearance and multi wheel size compatibility.

The Substance CRX is fitted with 650b WTB Frequency wheels and big volume WTB Horizon 47c tyres. We believe 650b is the future of adventure cycling, the large outer diameter keeps your wheels rolling over bumps, whilst the added tyre volume allows you to adjust pressures depending on the terrain for grip, comfort and luggage weight. The Wheels are tubeless ready, so just install the supplied valves and add sealant if you want to run tubeless.

The Substance CRX is finished off with the versatile SRAM APEX 1 HRD groupset and Vitus finishing kit including our adventure specific flared drop bars. This gives you wide position stability for tackling off road terrain, and a comfortable road riding position you can maintain for long periods. UK RRP: £1799.99.

Next up is our award winning steel substance, A capable 4130 steel frame designed to take both 700c and 650b wheels & tyres, the possibilities are endless. The Substance offers you a new way to ride.

The Substance is fitted with 700c WTB i23 Wheels and WTB Riddler high volume tyres, the large outer diameter keeps your wheels rolling over bumps, whilst the added air volume allows you to adjust pressures depending on the terrain for grip, comfort and luggage weight. The Wheels are tubeless ready, so just install the supplied valves and add sealant if you want to run tubeless.

The Substance is finished off with the reliable Shimano Sora R3000 groupset, TRP disc brakes and Vitus finishing kit including our adventure specific flared drop bars, giving you a wider grip position for stability when tackling off road terrain, and a comfortable road riding position you can maintain for long rides. The all new flat bar Substance features an FB specific geometry, taking the original drop bar frame and increasing the top tube length, resulting in sensible stem lengths and the same direct and confident steering. No compromises.

The Substance FB is fitted 700c wheels with Schwalbe Little Big Ben big volume tyres and features flat mount TRP disc brakes and 12mm Bolt-Thru axles both front and rear.
