Argon 18 (Germany) – Argon 18, the international high-end bicycle company, introduces their latest bicycle model innovations, the Endurance Line featuring the Krypton CS and Krypton GF. According to Argon 18, "these two models are designed to offer maximum comfort and performance on the longest of rides no matter the road surface and are ideal to tackle those Gran Fondo style races, challenging roads and gravel events".

"Through extensive research and analysis of stiffness, resistance and aerodynamics, Argon 18 has created a unique line of bikes that are as comfortable as they are light, stiff and aerodynamic. Their geometry, derived from Argon’s legendary race geometry, is tuned for a more stable and comfortable ride through a less aggressive positioning of the rider. From tube shapes to carbon layups, both frames and forks were designed and optimized for better vibration absorption, aerodynamics and lightness", they explained.

The Krypton CS and GF introduce a new fully integrated 3D+ system and a seamless modular cable routing system, which make both models compatible with all modern drivetrain systems.

“The new Krypton expands our definition of performance. All of our bikes are based on balance, but optimal balance means different things to different riders. Our focus for an Endurance bike was to provide the perfect combination of efficiency, comfort while preserving the handling characteristic that makes Argon18 bikes unique. This bike is about enjoying the journey, not the destination,” said Micheal McGinn, Director of Development.

Further additions to the Gallium Line — Gallium Pro 2018 and Gallium — further highlight the growing Argon 18 company. The Gallium Pro 2018 has quickly become one of the most victorious bikes to come to market this summer, with a stage victory at this year’s Tour de France, stage and GC category wins at Criterium du Dauphine and most recently, last week’s powerful victory at La Vuelta. Introduced at Eurobike will be the new Gallium, an updated version of the World Tour bike of 2015 and 2016.

The Gallium Pro 2018 is the company’s lightest frame ever at 794 g for a medium painted frame including hardware, highlighted by refined tube shape design and new a carbon fiber lay-up. New, state of the art technology in both 3D modeling and carbon molding bring the 2018 version of the Gallium Pro to the next level. Some features of this model include redesign and optimization of all parts of the frame: from the new 4 points riveted front derailleur hanger right up to the inner cable routing. Another key aspect is tire clearance enabling use of up to 28 mm tires.

Astana Pro Team is currently racing on the Limited Edition Team frame, available to consumers while Fabio Aru is riding the Gallium Pro 2018 in a custom painted “Il Cavaliere” celebrating his Sardinia heritage.

The New Gallium is 200 grams lighter than the previous generation. This bike is a pro tour bike brought to a price point available to a broader range of consumers.
