7mesh (Canada) – Winter riding brings with it a broad set of challenges, from wet trails and roads to low light and shorter days. The challenge of keeping warm and dry through the full range of winter weather is the one which can make or break any ride, and 7mesh has just launched their new Fall and Winter clothing collection, developed, tested, and perfected on the roads and trails around Squamish, British Columbia.
Leading the new collection is the Guardian Jacket, a fully waterproof Gore-Tex solution for all-mountain winter riding in the worst conditions. With an over-the-helmet hood and advanced fit for supreme on the bike performance, the Guardian also offers exceptional off-bike and casual utility thanks to the fullest shape and longest drop back hem yet offered by 7mesh.
Even in winter, some missions require packing light and moving fast, and the new Renegade Jacket delivers complete weather protection and durability in a superlight 220 gram package. Built on a tapered, athletic fit to cheat the wind, the Renegade’s articulated fit removes unnecessary front fabric while providing room for jersey pockets, accessed through the innovative rear pass-through ports.
In building both jackets, 7mesh uses Gore-Tex Active 3L, Gore's most breathable 3-ply waterproof fabric, fully seam-taped construction, and waterproof zippers for complete weather protection in the deepest winter conditions.
These new Gore-Tex tools are accompanied by new thermal layering options like the men's Mission Jersey and the women's Callaghan Hoody and Callaghan Jersey. The Mission Jersey uses Polartec Powergrid for an amazing warmth-weight ratio in a long-sleeved layering essential. The Callaghan Jersey and Hoody blend a fast-drying poly face with a warm, wool interior layer for best of all worlds winter performance.
