Ursus Enters the World Tour with Total Direct Energie

Ursus (Italy) - Press Release: Ursus is proud to announce the signing of a technical partnership with the French team Total Direct Energie.

The news had been brewing for a while for those who work in the business, and it’s official: Ursus will supply the Team Total Direct Energie with its wheels for the next two seasons (2020 and 2021). This deal is of particular importance for Ursus since it allows the brand to be the protagonist in the entire World Tour circuit for the very first time.

After almost a decade of constant presence at the Giro d’Italia, fans will be finally be able to admire our wheels during the Tour de France, as well as in the most famed and legendary classic races, such as the notorious Pavé du Nord.

The official wheels of the Total Direct Energie team:

Ursus wheels will complete the team edition construction of this remarkable Wilier Triestina Zero SLR bicycle. For the Total Direct Energie team, we have developed the color “admiral blue” with a metallic finish, perfectly paired with the coloring of the Wilier bicycle.

The Ursus models supplied to the team are:

Miura TS Evo Disc Line:

The TS47 Evo Disc and Miura TS37 Evo Disc wheels will be used by the team in most of the season’s races.
The 47 mm and 37 mm carbon profiles, paired with the new RD40 center lock hub with straight-head spokes, will guarantee maximum performance to the athletes of the Total Direct Energie team.

Miura TR Disc Line and Miura TC Disc Line:

The design of these rims for disc brakes (available in 37 mm and 67 mm versions) was conceived to be more aerodynamic and to remain stable even with lateral wind conditions. Thanks to the wide 28 mm groove of the rim, these wheels guarantee each biker the best adherence to the road. This technical detail will be very important, especially during the Classic Monuments, during which riders will be challenged by the legendary pavé.

For these events, the Total Direct Energie team will be supplied with both the models for tubular tires (Miura TR37 Disc and Miura TR67 Disc) and those for clincher / tubeless tires (Miura TC37 Disc and Miura TC67 Disc). Each athlete will therefore have the option to choose their preferred rim height and, most of all, they will be able to choose the most suitable tire for the track they will face.
