Thun is Now Certified as per DIN EN ISO 9001:2015
Thun (Germany) – In February 2017, the Alfred Thun GmbH & Co. KG became probably one of the first companies in the bicycle industry to successfully attain certification in accordance with the recently published DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 standard for its quality management system. And THUN is certainly not breaking new ground, having previously been certified for over 15 years in line with the DIN EN ISO 9001:1998 and DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 standards.

Under the watchful eye of Alexander Thun, the entire company underwent stringent preparation for certification in accordance with the new DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 standard. Preparations and training for all aspects and themes were carried out in conjunction with the individual departments. Every employee was involved in the process. And the audit was passed with no non-conformances.

Alfred Thun states: “Next challenge please. Although we have many years of experience in ISO certifications, this process, with its numerous new requirements, represented a big challenge. We are proud of our entire workforce and feel that our business values, which include the empowerment of every individual, have been endorsed. Now we must continue to work to further improve our quality management system. For the benefit of our processes, our products and, most importantly, our customers.”
