As the official shoes for the 2018 Giro d’Italia, Sidi Shot will be issued in a limited edition dedicated to the Corsa Rosa. “The hardest race in the world in the most beautiful country in the world” is drawing closer. The 2018 Giro d’Italia will feature 21 stages of world class cycling and plenty of excitement. For the first time in history the big kick-off will take place beyond European territory. It all starts in Jerusalem on May 4th and the final arrival will be in Rome on May 27th, which has only happened three times in the past, in 1911, 1950 and 2009.

For the first time ever, the innovative technology and special features of the Sidi Shot will be highlighted in this limited edition, featuring special graphics dedicated to the Giro d’Italia. This particular Shot comes from the Matt Line, the new collection of flat colours introduced by Sidi for 2018, which were an instant hit with the public. The colour chosen for the Giro shoe is grey/black, with details splashed in the pink hue that symbolizes the Giro d’Italia.

Sidi Shot Limited Edition Giro d’Italia shoes will be available in the finest cycling shops starting in mid-April. This model is destined to become a collector’s item among all two wheel enthusiasts. Furthermore, this limited edition will also be available as part of the official merchandising for the Corsa Rosa, so you can purchase a pair @the Giro d’Italia e-shop and on the road during the race, too.

Ex pro riders Stefano Garzelli, who among other achievements also won the Giro in 2000, and Marco Saligari, his fellow commentator at Rai Sport, will be among the prestigious spokespeople who will ride the pink roads with the Sidi Shot Limited Edition Giro d’Italia.

This year’s edition will be historic: the kick off from Jerusalem, the final arrival in Rome, commemorations for Gino Bartali and Michele Scarponi; furthermore, the Giro will celebrate 100 years since the end of the Great War, 1918-2018.
