Team Sky extend agreement with Science in Sport
Team Sky (UK) – Team Sky have renewed their agreement with endurance sports nutrition pioneers Science in Sport (SiS) as Official Sports Nutrition Partner through to 2020.

Team Sky will continue to work with SiS and its team of sports nutrition experts to create bespoke products and provide support and advice to fuel the team's world-class athletes.

Team Sky tailor nutritional plans for each individual athlete that will include a wide range of SiS products, from its patented Go Isotonic Energy Gels to the co-developed REGO Rapid Recovery Plus.

Since 1992, SiS has supplied endurance nutrition products to Olympic and world champions, Tour de France winners and amateur athletes.

Sir David Brailsford, Team Sky Team Principal, said: “Nutrition and fuelling are key factors in our success. Getting these elements right is absolutely crucial to enabling Team Sky riders to perform at their best – both in training and on race day. As a team, it is an area we place importance on – not just with the nutritional support provided to riders, but also in terms of innovation, research and rider education.

“We seek to be supported by the best. Science in Sport understand and share our commitment to continuous improvement, and that makes them a key partner of Team Sky and we’re looking forward to achieving more with them over the next three years.”

Stephen Moon, CEO for SiS, commented: “Science underpins everything we do and we’re really proud to be supporting Team Sky with our industry leading range for the next three years. Team Sky are constantly evolving and looking for new ways to improve and we’ll continue to work collectively to develop high quality products that deliver performance benefits.”

SiS products are manufactured in the UK at the company’s Innovation Centre in Lancashire. All SiS products are Informed-Sport tested and accredited; SiS worked closely with the HFL anti-doping laboratory to develop a world class evolved three-pronged testing system to minimise the risk of product contamination.
