Scicon Sports Unveils the Next Generation in Sport Performance Eyewear with the Aerowing and Aeroshade

Scicon (Italy) - Scicon Sports WorldTour team partners will be debuting the new Aeroshade models during the 2020 Tour de France, starting on Saturday 29 August 2020.

Scicon Sports, a leader in product design and one of the latest brands to enter the world of sport performance eyewear, has released the next generation in its range of eyewear styles with the new Aerowing and Aeroshade models. Deeply rooted in cycling, developed with vision enhancing engineering and designed to suit the performance needs of world class athletes, both styles deliver leading innovations and technologies to improve vision and performance.

The all new Aeroshade features a frame equipped with Scicon Sports Horizon Adapt™ mechanism, the world’s first height-adjustable nose pad allowing riders to tailor the field of vision depending on their preferred riding position. With the simple push or pull of the Horizon Adapt™ nosepiece each rider is able to adapt the position of the lens - allowing the rider to fully focus on performance with an unobstructed view on the road.

The Aeroshade features a frame design that further increases the field of vision using the Panorama Arch™. All-in, the Aeroshade is an imposing performance style with an aesthetic throwback to classic cycling glasses infused with modern technologies.

Partnering the Aeroshade is the all new Aerowing, matching its sibling for performance design, with a simple, clear retro look for maximum vision and uncompromised protection. A large lens shape with a laser-etched finish places a rimless cylindrical shield on the face, while a vented brow construction allows for increased airflow to avoid fogging.

The Aerowing is completed with Scicon Sports elite level of adjustability found on all performance models - interchangeable nose pads, each with a double click mechanism for a close custom fit to the face; and adjustable temple tips to ensure a wrapped feel. Paired with an interchangeable lens system, each rider can make their Scicon Sports eyewear their own.

Each of the all-new eyewear styles feature SCN-PP™ True Vision, a performance lens technology that provides athletes with uncompromised protection against high-mass and high velocity impact as well as optical clarity and a mirror coating that reduces glare and reflects sun rays away from the eye.

Both Aerowing and Aeroshade models are now available globally at Scicon's website and select premium retailers. Scicon Sports WorldTour team partners will be debuting the new Aeroshade models during the 2020 Tour de France, starting on Saturday 29 August 2020, having field-tested the Aerowing since Milan-Sanremo this August. This will see UAE Team Emirates, Israel Start-Up Nation and NTT Pro Cycling using the full range of performance eyewear at this year’s La Grand Boucle.
