Santa Cruz know that puzzlin' ain't easy, from picking the right partners to choosing the right members of a team, everything’s gotta slot into place if you want to win races and have a good time doing it. They've taken the most successful pieces and added a whole bunch of fresh ones to create the widest ranging yet most interlocking cast of characters and partners the Santa Cruz Syndicate has ever fielded.

The mainstays:

• Greg Minnaar - World Champion. Now entering his 24th season of World Cup racing, and 40th year of his full-throttle One Life attitude to time on this planet. The kingpin of puzzling knows how to put it all together like no one else. That’s why he’s the reigning champ and most prolific male downhill winner we’ll likely ever see.
• Steve Peat - Head Coach and athlete. Steve’s deep knowledge of World Cup training, testing and racing, is matched only by his vast industry and media experience. After three decades in the business this Gandalf of Gravity is still damn fast, bringing unparalleled insights and a touch of old school magic to the team.

New for 2022:

• Laurie Greenland - On Santa Cruz's radar since his junior racing days, the stars over Greenland never quite aligned with those in California until this year. The surfing, skating, bmxing Bristolian is already an accomplished racer and couldn’t be a better fit for the team - as many a Syndicate fan pointed out over the years!
• Nina Hoffmann - Protégé of the Santa Cruz grass roots program in Germany, it’s hard to imagine Nina’s only been racing World Cups since 2019. By 2020 she had already established her own eponymous team and scored her first World Cup win.  Nina’s trajectory is one of the most inspiring in DH racing.
• Jackson Goldstone - The current Junior World Champion could make a career out of riding any discipline he wants. We’re glad he chose to stick to DH. We’re even more glad he chose to do it The Syndicate.  Steve and Greg will be mentoring everyone’s favourite super grom through his last year of juniors, in preparation for the leap into primetime elite in ‘23.

So there you have it, 2022 marks a whole new era for the Santa Cruz Syndicate. We wish the new recruits the best of luck and cannot wait for the racing to start!
