REEB Cycles (United States) - Press Release: We are proud to announced the dramatically updated 2020 “The Sam’s Pants” and introduced the “Lickskillet”, a brand new all-road, gravel bike named for and inspired by the steepest gravel road in Boulder County. Both models are designed around today’s modern non-suspension corrected forks creating better standover and larger front triangle for larger frame bag options.  The models harness the amazing ride characteristics of size specific lightweight, butted and heat-treated steel or hand selected butted titanium. Both models are, of course, fully customizable.

We have invested in industry experience by adding future MTB Hall of Fame rider/tester Jeff Lenosky and Butch Boucher, an industry veteran with 30 years experience as co-founder of Co-motion Cycles and 21+ years with Moots. In addition to adding industry experience they have engaged engineer Steve Ziegler and added depth to their fabrication team anchored by Adam Prosise, pushing revisions to all 2020 models. These two models represent a specific investment in the all-road/gravel bike/adventure bike arena with the addition of Boucher and fabricator/gravel bike nerd Sam Robinson.

Our largest advancement in the gravel bike scene is the brand new Lickskillet. The Lickskillet utilizes the amazing ride characteristics of lightweight, butted and heat-treated steel and is also available in a hand selected, butted titanium tubeset. The all-road monster delivers confidence inspiring ride quality with balanced handling and snappy acceleration in a platform of lifetime durability for any surface out there. Metal bikes are the perfect match for gravel, compliant and not afraid of a little road chatter or flying rocks.

The 2020 Sam’s Pants features the big time (29” x 2.2”) tire clearance you’ve come to expect while adding a third set of bottle bosses on the downtube for extra water and gear, plus an update to a 31.6mm seat tube to fit a broad selection of modern dropper seatposts.

Also, for 2020 we improved standover while keeping a large space for a frame bag by using the new shorter and big tire compatible fork models being introduced this year. The expertly manufactured, confidence inspiring lightweight steel or butted titanium are the best materials for any adventure you have in mind.
