Ready To Take Flight: The New & Improved Skyhawk DJ

Airborne Bicycles (United States) - Press Release: Born and bred to rip and shred, the Airborne Skyhawk DJ 26 is BMX-inspired, with an emphasis on the “MX”. The Skyhawk is about going fast and going big, with a hydroformed 6061 aluminum frame for the perfect strength-to-weight ratio and a stiff, responsive feel. The 69º head tube angle, combined with the 41mm offset of the Manitou Circus Expert 100mm-travel fork creates a stance that is stable and in control at any speed and on any terrain. The low-profile of the Skyhawk increases your comfort level and gives you room to move when the going gets wild.

For the specs, BMX and MTB worlds collide to create a perfect blend of performance and durability: Rear-only SRAM Level T hydraulic disc brake, an FSA tapered headset, 170mm heat-treated tubular chromoly cranks with a 19mm 48-spline chromoly spindle, Wise Rectrix2 double wall rims laced with sealed cartridge hubs, and Kenda Kranium 26 x 2.1” tires put the power to the ground. A thought-out 30/14 gear combo gets you up to speed and back up the hill. The Skyhawk was developed by and for our team and is the bike of choice for daily battle. It’s a remarkable machine in that it performs at the highest levels at a price that won’t set you back. We won’t pretend it was easy to make a bike this great at such a good price, but riding a Skyhawk is believing.
