Omata (USA) – Press Release: I've just come back now from whisking Rhys to LAX to make his flight to Eurobike (visit him if you're going to be there — he'll be at B2-104B — bring him a sandwich) and wanted to share with you news of our very exciting limited edition collaboration with Open.

In this collaboration, there's a larger story — beyond the beautiful build — to be told about two teeny-tiny companies, run by the two co-founders, each company passionate about building things that they want to ride or ride with, which at first may seem the opposite of what the mainstream trade thinks the core "cycling consumer" wants.

There's a larger story to be told about the grit and grind one has to summon in one's soul in order to commit to a point of view that may run counter to prevailing conceptions, or contrary to established opinions.

There may be a story about a world that has become positively burdened by the assumption that more technology and more inscrutably swoopy, curvy, swervy geometry makes the experience of riding a bike somehow better.

Those stories will be told, someday. Maybe when we're shoulder-to-shoulder, spinning along some beautiful climb.
