BikeMarket.pt is a Portuguese project that was launched in August 2015. In the last almost 5 years, we have invested a lot of money and have worked hard to provide a quality free classifieds service for the national market (both for individuals and companies). And we cannot accept that one of the biggest companies in the world tries to destroy our work...

Our Facebook page currently has more than 7200 Followers (more than 7000 since 2018). If these more than 7200 people decided to follow our project on this social network, is because they are interested in what we do and want to see what we share.

However, Facebook company continues to hide our posts from our Followers... continues to harm and disrespect all of our work and at the same time disrespect the people who want to follow us. People should decide what to see online (not Facebook)!

In 2019, we published 599 posts on our Facebook page and, on average, each post was viewed by only 200 people (less than 3%). If we take into account that some of these people who have seen posts are not following our page yet, that means less than 200 of our Followers saw our posts. It is therefore false that pressing the Like / Follow button on a specific page, means that we will see all of that page’s posts (it appears to be misleading advertising).

In addition, it also seems useful to hide publications from our Marketplace when this company has its own Marketplace on Facebook and disseminates it to all users (it reminds when Microsoft case where Microsoft Explorer was pre-installed on Windows by default and then it was fined and forced to have alternatives with competing browsers ...).

A complaint has already been sent to the Competition Authority to expose this situation, along with facts…

In the meantime, we will continue to work with the same professionalism, hoping that our work will be respected.
