Pinion (Germany) - At Eurobike 2018, Pinion presented a new rotary shifter for the 2019 season, which was developed in cooperation with ergonomics experts Ergon. "We at Pinion are delighted to have found the ideal partner with Ergon, who possesses many years of expertise in the area of cycling ergonomics, for the development of the new rotary shifter", states Christoph Lermen (Managing Director Pinion GmbH).
In addition to the improved ergonomics for all hand sizes, the grip in wet conditions particularly was optimised in cooperation with Ergon. The modified cable routing and tool-free traction setting ensure a neat and tidy appearance of the complete handlebar unit.
The features of the new Pinion DS2 rotary shifter:
- Optimised ergonomic for all hand sizes
- Unique Ergon-Factory-Compound for improved grip, particularly in wet
- Symmetrical structure: choice of left or right assembly
- Fits perfectly in combination with Ergon grips
- Compact, lightweight design with improved cable routing
- Tool-free traction setting
- 1.5 mm hex socket bit is integrated in the handlebar adapter for shifting cable change on the road
The new edition of the rotary shifter is now available. The DS2 is compatible with all gearbox types of the C-line and P-line. It will be distributed to manufacturers and retailers from 01.04.2019. End customers can obtain the new rotary shifter from at dealers at an RRP of Euro 89.00.
