Hunt Bike Wheels (United Kingdom) - The Rider Firm has a vacancy for new Finance Assistant team member. Working part time in our West Sussex HQ (flexible hours and home working also available) you will be responsible for keeping our accounts accurate and up to date, working across the team and with customers and suppliers.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day responsibility for keeping accounts up to date, working with other members of The Rider Firm to ensure purchases and sales are properly accounted for.
- Inputting purchase invoices and updating payment schedules.
- Become an expert in our accounting & fulfilment system and acting as a guide and reference point across the business.
- Working with multiple currencies for both customers and suppliers.
- Reviewing & maintaining supplier and customer accounts and discussing with suppliers and customers where required.
- Reconciling bank and card accounts, working with other team members to resolve any discrepancies.
- Working closely with and being accountable to the Accounts and Admin Senior Coordinator.
- Keeping the accounting software tidy and in order.
- Ensuring all tax dates and codes are correct.
- Preparation and interpretation of weekly and monthly reports.
Person Specification:
- Someone with strong attention to detail and good numerical skills
- Be ready to work together across our whole Rider Firm team – helping each other out is essential!
- Someone who will work within the Rider Firm Values.
- Studying toward or around AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting (Level 3) or equivalent
- Working knowledge of excel.
Working hours and location:
- During the current Covid-19 pandemic this role will be working from home. In future it will primarily be an office based role
- This is a part time role and we are flexible about working hours.
- 3 days a week with the option to change this for the right candidate.
