The role:
Brompton’s trade marketing requirements have expanded rapidly over recent years as we increase our direct distribution into more markets. Due to the increasing number of direct distribution markets, the role of Trade Marketing Coordinator has been created. Reporting to our Senior Retail Marketing Executive and working closely with our global marketing team and Brompton Junction operations, the Trade Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the trade marketing calendar, marketing activities for our Brompton Junction stores, and directly responsible for supporting our UK Independent Bike Dealers (IBDs).
In addition to our global dealer network, we also have a network of Brompton Junction stores (currently 16). Brompton Junction stores operate as flagship locations for Brompton customers and the community. This role will be responsible for supporting and coordinating Brompton Junction marketing by executing the retail marketing plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Trade Marketing Communications
- Coordinate translations and local regional drafts for trade communication emails
- Maintain trade and distributor communication database records and mailing groups (currently on Mailchimp)
- Ensure timely execution of trade and distributor communications, in conjunction with Senior Retail Marketing Executive
Visual Merchandising (VM) and Point-of-Sale Materials (POS):
- Support Senior Retail Marketing Executive with planning and delivery of VM and POS requirements
- Support with creative brief for global trade marketing requirements, including liaising with Junction store teams and regional marketing teams
- Directly manage requests for VM and POS for UK IBDs via UK sales team
- Assist with VM and POS ordering and inventory management
Brompton Junction Marketing Activities and Assets:
- Coordinate Brompton Junction store marketing activities as set out in Junction marketing plan
- Closely coordinate with Events Team to plan and help execute Junction store events
- Support Brompton Junction Store Teams with social media advice/assets and local area marketing activities where required
- Assist with ordering of VM or POS for Brompton Junction stores where required
- Act as point of contact for Junction store teams for marketing enquiries
- Assist with tracking and reporting of Brompton Junction marketing activities on monthly basis
Trade and Dealer Events:
- Assist Events Team with planning and execution of Brompton Dealer/Junction conferences
- Support global events team with trade or Junction marketing events
- Plan and support UK IBD events
- Conduct research where required on upcoming trade events that could be beneficial for Brompton to attend
- Assist with dispatch and collection of trade marketing kits and assets
- Assist with Factory Tours for trade customers
Additional duties:
- Coordinate translations requirements for marketing launch assets
- Maintain Trade Platform – including arranging product photos, descriptions, codes and upload of marketing assets
- Assist with Brompton Academy team when required for trade marketing activities
- Support the regional marketing team where required for regional trade marketing activities
- Raising Purchase Orders, tracking costs and reporting on spend
