Giant Unveiled the All-New Rev Pro MIPS Helmet!

Giant Bicycles (Taiwan) - Giant, the world leader in cycling technology, unveiled its new Rev Pro MIPS helmet for high-performance road, gravel, cyclocross and XC riding. Featuring some of the best design elements from both the award-winning Rev helmet and the Pursuit aero helmet, along with several new breakthrough technologies, it’s aimed at competitive riders seeking one helmet for a variety of riding and racing scenarios. The all-new design offers greater ventilation and weight savings plus the added comfort and security of an integrated Cinch Pro MIPS Fit System.

With a wind-slicing profile and 20 wide vents designed to circulate air through internal channels, the Rev Pro MIPS was engineered using extensive Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).  Prototype models were developed, tested and raced over the past year with valuable input from CCC Team WorldTour pros including Olympic champion Greg Van Avermaet.

“The Rev helmet was a favorite among our pro racers, so that was our starting point,” said Jeff Schneider, head of Giant Gear Business and Marketing. “Our goal was to create something that’s even lighter and more comfortable on all-day training rides and also has improved aero performance. The final result is a super versatile choice that can be used for a variety of riding and racing disciplines. Its added ventilation keeps you cool on long, hot climbs, and the aero shaping delivers an advantage for full-on sprints and breakaways.”

A MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection) Low Friction layer offers a slip-plane technology designed to reduce the rotational forces of certain impacts. This cutting-edge crash protection is integrated with a fully adjustable Cinch Pro fit system that evenly distributes contact pressure for comfort and stability. Riders can further dial in the fit with a five-position height adjustment that’s built into the EPS foam layer.

Beneath the helmet’s thin polycarbonate shell, EPS foam is constructed from multiple densities to maintain helmet integrity in the event of a crash while also absorbing energy from low or high-speed impacts. The Element Strap System (ESS) features ultra-thin LiteForm single-layer straps that are easily adjustable. And the padding is made with antimicrobial TransTextura natural fabrics that wick moisture to help keep you cool and dry.

The Giant Rev Pro MIPS is available in small, medium and large sizes.
