BAHRAIN MERIDA Pro Cycling Team, can shout out loud and announce the beautiful victory of Ivan Garcia Cortina!

Stage 5 – 219.5 km from Pismo Beach to Ventura, a stage on extremely windy and hard conditions:

The breakaway group were caught in the final 10km, and all of it broke apart at the final intermediate sprint. An extremely fast pace with many attacks for positioning the leaders with a bit less of 20 riders to go in a battle for the hard, long and headwind sprint to the finish at the more ideal place for wakeboarder than for cyclists.

In such conditions Ivan Garcia Cortina took his chance to pull out in the right moment to fulfill his dream of his first World Tour victory.
