Bianchi presented the World premiere of the “Bianchi for Scuderia Ferrari” project on Wednesday, August 30th, at 2017 Eurobike – Friedrichshafen (Germany), the World’s largest cycling exhibition. The early fruits of the standout cooperation between two iconic brands of Italian design, creativity and innovation are the new Road model SF01 and the cutting-edge Triathlon Concept with disc brakes, engineered for the maximum aero advantage.
The “Bianchi for Scuderia Ferrari” project – developed in close cooperation between the two companies’ R&D and Design departments – transfers Scuderia Ferrari DNA in a new performance luxury bicycle range engineered by Bianchi. Treviglio’s company top-class knowledge and expertise in performance bicycle development and engineering meet the technical excellence of Scuderia Ferrari Racing Team, the most successful team in the history of Formula 1: the result is a product range featuring the key concepts of performance, lightness, technology, material excellence and aesthetic research, all of that declined into different categories: Road, MTB, E-Bike, City-Fitness, and Kids.
SF01 Road Bike:
SF01 is the high-performance road carbon model with racing geometry: ultralight – with a weight of only 780 gr – and with a stiff carbon frame engineered with Countervail® vibration cancelling technology, which – thanks to the special fiber architecture and viscoelastic resin – cancels 80% of vibrations, maximizing power and control.
Handpainted Colors and Graphics:
Colors and graphics of SF01 – equipped in two top-notch versions with Campagnolo Super Record EPS and Shimano Dura Ace Di2 groupsets – are the result of the cooperation between Bianchi’s designers and “Centro Stile Ferrari”. Two are the liveries, which enticingly combine Ferrari’s original colors “Rosso Corse” and “Nero Setoso”. SF01’s frames are handpainted in Italy, combining Bianchi’s timeless skills of tailoring together with advanced technologies..
Italian Custom Components:
SF01’s components are specifically designed for this exclusive model and inspired by excellence and Italian style.
The Astute One saddle is made of 3k carbon, the same used for Ferrari single-seaters’ seats, with matt carbon finish, and only weighs 94 gr. Astute also manufactured the anti-vibration Luxury Black tape, which wraps the handlebar with an elegant and iconic black-velvet effect. The wheels are by Italian Fulcrum company: Speed 40C Carbon, with Scuderia Ferrari custom graphics and carbon hubs, with a weight of 1420 gr. P ZERO Velo clinchers are supplied by Pirelli – leader in unique motorsport competitions and historical partner of the most prestigious brands – built with the innovative patented SmartNET Silica® rubber compound, which offers high rolling efficiency and superior wet grip at the same time, long lasting mileage and high puncture resistance.
Triathlon Concept: The Ultimate Fusion Of Speed And Style:
Taking inspiration from Scuderia Ferrari’s Formula 1 cars, Bianchi engineered the Triathlon Concept, a match for the highest performance aspirations. The cutting-edge Triathlon Concept is the forefront of aerodynamic and technology in every part (overall design, headtube and fork. handlebars and cockpit). The Bianchi CV system, using the patented Countervail® vibration cancelling technology, and the integrated disc brake system match the aspirations of the most driven triathletes for the maximum aero advantage, drawing inspiration from the lines and solutions brought to success by Ferrari in Formula 1.
